Google’s Adsense program is a genuine profit generator for many Internet content publishers, however if Adsense is not used to it’s fullest potential it could cost you.
When Adsense is first integrated into a Web site it takes time for Google’s content spider to index your Web site so that Adsense can begin displaying relevant ads. Also occassionally Adsense is unable to find a relevant ad to display based on your Web site’s content. When either of those two conditions occur Google can display what is known as a “PSA” or Public Service Announcements. It is important to note that you do not get paid for impressions or clicks on these PSA ads!
Of course if you are a vetaran Internet content publisher or Internet marketer you probably are aware of most of the information that I’m about to share, but hopefully you’ll indulge me anyways!
Adsense does offer a way to opt-out of the PSA program by providing publishers with the opportunity to utilize “Alternate Ads” or colors to fill the space whenever a PSA would normally be shown. Personally, up till now, I’ve used a program called Bidvertiser as my “Alternate Ad” of choice, despite Bidvertiser’s lackluster performance on my Web sites as it seemed a better alternative to displaying PSA advertisements. However; I recently was introduced to Modern Click, a very promising new program that has the potential to outperform Bidvertiser when utilized as an Adsense “Alternate Ad”! Unlike Bidvertiser’s pay-per-click model, Modern Click utilizes a pay-per-action model which offers publishers the opportunity to earn significantly higher payouts when compared to the pennies often paid per-click by Bidvertiser.
