Search Big Daddy, the next big thing…or just more hoopla?

Yesterday I received an email from a well known marketer promoting a new search engine called Search Big Daddy, and of course being the curious type I clicked on over to check it out…

With my first look at Search Big Daddy I was, shall we say, less than impressed. The graphics, colors and fonts are garish to say the least, LOL! However, not the type to be deterred by a Web site’s looks, I clicked on over to Big Daddy Pays which is BDS’s signup page to get some more information. And what I found there was (despite their no hype claim) was a whole lotta hype! The signup page gives a whole list of features and benefits; including being able to give away TOP keyword positions, giving away $50 in free advertising, receiving your own search portal, $50 in free advertising for yourself and more.

Now, once I registered as a free member I found information on BDS’s paid upgrades, and this is where it gets interesting. For a monthly fee you get a plethora of additional benefits; more $$$ for referrals, more $$$ per search, increased sponsorship levels and more.

But the burning question is…is it worth it?

From my personal perspective, although Search Big Daddy has some interesting features like thier Top Keyword Position feature and keyword targeted Skyscraper Banner feature, the monthly fee detracts from the overall value of the offer. In my opinion, there are several PPC engines that have (despite Big Daddy’s claim) similar features without having to pay a monthly fee so in effect you may be paying for benefits that you could get free elsewhere.

So who can truly benefit from Search Big Daddy? Internet marketers that have a strong mailing list will likely benefit most from SBD as they can leverage their lists and gain huge downlines. And those that do build huge active downlines will be able to dominate the search results using their amassed free PPC currency.
